As active travel becomes more popular in Europe, the way in which urban spaces are being used is changing. Safety and urban mobility includes the ways in which practitioners seek to ensure the safety of all road and public space users – incorporating all modes of urban travel.
The term micro-mobility is starting to become common in urban transport. Many believe that it is the next step to transforming the transport sector. In fact, the global micro-mobility market is expected to reach US$ 195.42 billion by 2030.
The CIVITAS Forum is a bi-annual event hosted by the CIVITAS Initiative that celebrates, promotes and encourages sustainable cities and sustainable urban mobility advancement across Europe.
Hosted this year in Aachen, Germany, the conference will be guided by the central theme 'Smart routes towards climate-neutral cities'.
The CIVITAS Forum 2021 will take place on 20-21 October 2021. It is a hybrid conference, with participants joining on-site in Aachen (Germany) and online.
Women in Urban Mobility is a joint project of UnternehmerTUM Munich, Universitat Politécnica de Catalunya, Carnet Barcelona, and Junior Achievement Bulgaria, funded by EIT Urban Mobility.
