7th Annual Future of Transport Conference 2022

Over the past two years, the European transport sector has been impacted significantly by the COVID-19 pandemic. Passenger and freight transport has been severely disrupted; supply chains moved to breaking point, while the demand and necessity for the sector to re-orientate towards more digital, efficient, and sustainable practices continues to increase. Greener, more intelligent, safer, and efficient transport systems are at the forefront of the European Commission’s priorities.

6th UN Global Road Safety Week

The UN General Assembly mandated WHO and the UN regional commissions to plan and host periodic UN Global Road Safety Weeks. Held since 2007, the #Love30 campaign of the 6th UN Global Road Safety Week advocates for Streets for Life by making 30 km/h (20 mph) speed limits the norm for cities worldwide in places where people mix with traffic.

New measures on scooter misuse to be implemented in Brussels

Micromobility has been a welcome addition in increasing the mobility of residents whilst producing low carbon emissions, however the misuse of the personal mobility devices has been creating problems for pedestrians in Brussels and has almost led to them being banned in some municipalities.

EU Safety Conference 2022

A detailed conference programme has been published for the 10th European Conference on Injury Prevention and Safety Promotion, organised by EuroSafe and the Austrian Road Safety Board (KfV), will take place in Vienna, Austria from 23-24 June 2022.
