ASSISTANT is a three year EU project ending on 30 June 2015. It provides an application for the home computer and smartphone to help older people travel safely and independently by public transport. The project offers seamless support for the entire length of a journey, across different means of public transport, and in both rural and urban environments. The target group for ASSISTANT is essentially mobile older people in Europe, but the system is designed so it is accessible for all potential users.
