The BAMBINI project targets the mobility behaviour of very young children and their parents as well as the attitudes of decision-makers to challenge the car culture prevalent in Europe and so gets children active. This training material is an introduction to the concept of Home Zones, inspired by the French approach on this subject. A home zone is a shared space, open to all traffic, but with priority to pedestrians and a speed limit of 20 kph.
