CIVITAS e-course: ITS and traffic management in urban areas

By News Editor / Updated: 13 Jul 2017

Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) and traffic management applications help cities to achieve policy goals with regard to accessibility, liveability and safety.

Accelerated by technology and ICT developments, the possibilities of using ITS and traffic management in urban environments have increased substantially in the past decade.

This e-course, part of the CIVITAS Initiative's extensive catalogue of online learning, provides information about recent developments in urban ITS and traffic management.

In doing so, the e-course is intended to provide support to professionals in preparation and implementation of traffic management policies and prepare an initial selection of measure types suitable for their situation.

The CIVITAS e-courses are individual courses that can be followed online, anyplace, anytime. Each e-course is concluded with an online test.

CIVITAS Learning Centre certificates are given to participants who have successfully passed the course. An e-course takes approximately 1-2 hours.
