Road safety at work

By News Editor / Updated: 16 Mar 2015

An awareness of road safety for work-related travel is important for employers to consider, particularly in organisations which operate fleets of vehicles. A high proportion of traffic collisions each year involve people who are commuting or otherwise performing work-related travel.

The PRAISE project has developed a report introducing the concept of road safety management and giving employers the tools to make the business case for road safety management, in particular where savings can be made. The report also gives advice on risk assessment and management, as well as the selection and monitoring of indicators to track progress.
