Best practice in urban logistics

By News Editor / Updated: 04 Aug 2015

Urban freight in European cities today is hampered by inefficient management of distribution methods, with a resulting impact on traffic congestion, pollution and the effectiveness of the transport system. There needs to be a better awareness of how to resolve these inefficiencies and therefore create an urban logistics system which is environmentally sounder and more economically productive.

The SUGAR project has produced a best practice guide featuring case studies from across the EU as well as in Japan. These feature details about the design of the policies and their implementation, supporting actions, the results of the measures and key considerations.
