AVK - KYIV CYCLISTS' ASSOCIATION is hosting the 9th Annual International Cycling Conference "VELOFORUM 2017" in Mykolaiv, Ukraine from 6 - 8 October .
This year's main topic is "Cycling as a catalyst of urban changes".
Other themes it will explore include:
- Cycling policy at national and local level national and local
- Cycling infrastructure projects: best case examples/particular solutions
- Cycling activism: using bottom-up approach, what we can do to boost cycling
- Cycling economy: cycling production and economic benefits caused by cycling
Every year VELOFORUM gathers up to 200 cycling activists, representatives of local government, transport planners and engineers, students, and cycling-oriented businesspeople.
We are looking for inspirational examples, analysis of particular practical issues with recommendations for improvement, and the sharing of experience with regard to any of the aforementioned topics.
The conference will include lectures from Ukrainian and foreign speakers - there will be simultaneous Ukrainian-English translation available during the sessions. Workshops, cycling tours, a gala night and many other activities are also taking place.
