Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC) 2022, will be a hybrid three-day event from 15-17 November, with an in-person event in Barcelona and a parallel digital program broadcast by Tomorrow.City.
ELTIS, the EU urban mobility observatory, will present the latest policy developments at EU level regarding safe and sustainable urban mobility. This side event will take place in Mobility Agora, on Thursday 17 November 13:05-13:50 CET. The session will be organised around the following topics: - Introduction to ELTIS (Ricardo) - The new European urban mobility framework (Ricardo) - SUMP concept, the compendium of guidance and the SUMP Platform Coordinating Group (TRT) - Safety and sustainability go hand in hand (Mapfre)
The focus of the Congress will be 'Cities Inspired by People', sustainable cities in which public transport coexists with new mobility options; inclusive cities where streets and public services are accessible for all; safe cities which addresses both security and privacy concerns; and, collective cities where collaboration and participation becomes a pivot to build a better, thriving future. The event comprises a Congress - where international experts come together to share insights and learn best practices for a more sustainable urban world, an Expo - where global companies and organizations can engage with professionals and showcase their cutting-edge projects and smart solutions, and side events and activities (see the Eltis side event above) - including workshops and digital sessions to discus urban challenges.
