The smart city conference "Smart City for the Citizens 2018: Urban Mobility" will take place on May 31, 2018 in the Estonian National Museum, Tartu.
The Estonian Smart City Cluster is designed to create an innovative environment in cities which will boost the competitive ability of companies by bringing together businesses, citizens, public authorities, R&D institutes and structures that support innovation. The activities of the cluster are being co-financed from 2015-2018 by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
On May 31, 2018 the cluster organizes the next smart city conference “Smart City for the Citizens 2018: Urban Mobility” in the Estonian National Museum, Tartu.
Issues to be covered include how to use data for planning public transport in the cities, which are the best intelligent transport system practices in the world, how to engage citizens in urban planning and inform them about temporary changes etc.
The event will be opened by Urmas Klaas, mayor of Tartu, on the 31st of May, followed by sessions with presentations, on-site visits, workshops and networking dinner.
A welcome reception will be organised on the evening prior to the event (30th May).
