The European Week of Regions and Cities is an annual four-day event during which cities and regions showcase their capacity to create growth and jobs, implement European Union cohesion policy, and prove the importance of the local and regional level for good European governance.

Urban Transports Community pitch will unveil policy recommendations for the implementation of soft mobility in the Mediterranean and showcase the results of a successful replication of soft mobility solutions in the Mediterranean through a mentoring process. Soft mobility is a proven driver of better public health and quality of life in cities. The COVID-19 pandemic has nudged decision-makers to see cycling in a new light. It is time for cities and regions to double down on their investment in soft mobility as key for more sustainable and resilient mobility. We will show how the Med pioneers are doing it.
