Hosted by the London Borough of Croydon, the 2nd annual summit Liveable neighbourhoods 2022 on 17 February 2022 will showcase the best examples of political leadership, policy, projects and programmes that are delivering Liveable Neighbourhoods. 

The £114 million Liveable Neighbourhoods programme, funded by Transport for London (TfL), is giving 18 London boroughs, and more in the coming years, the opportunity to create streets and places that encourage walking, cycling and the use of public transport. 

The programme supports the aims of the Mayor's Transport Strategy by funding local schemes to reduce car trips and improve neighbourhoods. The successful delivery of this vision depends on London Borough officers working with TfL and local stakeholders. The event is aimed at supporting the successful delivery of Liveable Neighbourhoods across London by connecting and promoting knowledge-sharing between current and future participants.

​Not all Liveable Neighbourhoods will look the same – far from it: initiatives across the Capital include schemes designed to cut rat running, make junctions safer, implement new walking and cycling infrastructure, create pocket parks and revamp public spaces.
