The International Rail Forum & Conference (IRFC) is one of the leading events in the international railway calendar, bringing together top managers, railway and logistics experts, customers, prominent politicians and institutions from across Europe. The 7th IRFC was due to be held in Prague in 2020 with the motto: Let’s build a new generation of railways together but had to be postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It will now take place in Prague from 5-7 October 2022 and has received support from the Office of the Government of the Czech Republic granted in connection with the EU Council Czech Presidency in 2022. IRFC 2022 has also been added to the calendar of accompanying events of the Czech Presidency.

The event organiser is the OLTIS Group and the event is supported by the CER, as well as a number of other international institutions and organisations, including ERA, UNIFE, Shift2Rail, UIC and OSJD.

The conference programme will reflect new and fully up-to-date information from the railway sector within the context of international transport on the continent of Europe. The main topics of the conference are the impending changes in legislation, as well as in research and technology, with a focus on rail freight transport, rail infrastructure and rail passenger transport.
