The Polis Annual Conferences provide an opportunity for cities and regions to showcase their transport achievements to a large audience and for the wider transport community to engage with representatives of city and regional authorities on innovative transport solutions. This year, 130 abstracts have been submitted, a new record for the conference.

This year’s conference will showcase many of the key topics explored recently by Polis within its thematic working groups and projects:
  • traffic efficiency and mobility
  • road safety
  • environment and health in transport
  • economical and social aspects
  • horizontal topics: freight policy and planning, sustainable urban transport planning and urban transport policy audits for cities and metropolitan areas and integrating urban transport systems

Through the sessions, the audience will learn about trends, future plans and recommendations through presentations, statements and discussion. Each session will aim to offer a mix of contributions on current practice and future plans (in cities and regions), academic research and industry initiatives. Sessions will be delivered in different formats, including workshops, round-tables and short, focused presentation-style sessions.
