GAIT stands for 'green, accessible, intelligent  transportation', referring to the pillars of the Transport Operational  Programme (IPA 2014- 2020), financed  by the EU pre-accession funds for Turkey.

The plenary and discussion sessions of the seminar will raise issues belonging to daily lives of Turkish and European citizens, varying from accessibility of transport services to the adaption and mitigation challenges posed by climate change on the transport sector.

The Seminar is organised under the Transport Operational Programme,  financed by the EU pre-accession funds for Turkey. This programme assists Turkey for aligning its policies to the EU. The seminar, in this respect, will contribute to the integration of Turkey’s transport policy to that of the European Union.
