The European Virtual Centre of Excellence HUMANIST (Human Centred Design for Information Society Technologies) organises training courses, scientific workshops and summer schools for professionals in the area of road transport and information and communication technology.

In the Humanist summer school 2012 “Intelligent Transport Systems: Human Centred Design for Safe and Eco Mobility”, lecturers from European research centres will share their knowledge on safety and eco mobility to give tools and methods for Human centred design of ITS.

  • Find out issues covered by research on systems design for safe and sustainable mobility in road transport
  • Gain knowledge on needs and requirements of population in order to design user friendly systems for vehicle, powered?two wheels and bus
  • Explore tools and methods for evaluating safety of systems use while driving
  • Debate on priorities between several issues such as road safety, eco mobility, design for all.
