SNCF is organising a European Railway Summit on 21 February 2022, 09:00-18:15 CET, with the theme ‘Rail, the driver for greener and more innovative transport’. The summit will be live-streamed and mark the official closing of the European Year of Rail.

The summit will launch the Europe’s Rail programme and will be attended by Adina Vălean, Commissioner for Transport, Jean-Baptiste Djebbari, Minister Delegate for Transport and Jean-Pierre Farandou, Chairman and CEO of SNCF. 

With innovation as overarching topic, the event brings together European and national policy makers, as well as representatives of the civil society and of the rail sector, to identify solutions that lead to concrete commitments, around three key topics: 

• Why is rail the solution to decarbonise transport? 
• Digitalisation and innovation: how to build the rail system of the future ? 
• How to finance tomorrow’s rail system?
