The three-day event will gather hundreds of CIVITAS stakeholders from around Europe, all of whom are devoted to the development of sustainable urban mobility in their cities.
CIVITAS Forum 2016 will offer a selection of collaborative workshops, state-of-the-art presentations and interesting site visits.
The theme of the conference, which is taking place in Gdynia (Poland) from 28 to 30 September 2016, is 'Shaping the mobility of tomorrow'.
The conference will provide an opportunity for vivid dialogue and knowledge-exchange between cities and European politicians, and experts in the field of urban mobility.
Host city Gdynia has numerous success stories in implementing transport plans, clean-energy initiatives and in citizen engagement. The city has always been an active participant in the CIVITAS programme and is a leader in many sustainable mobility measures in Europe.
The European Commission Vice-President for the Energy Union, Maroš Šefčovič, will be present at the opening of the conference.
