The European Commission, Directorate-General Climate Action, has commissioned a project led by Ricardo to strengthen Member States' capacity to implement and meet their objectives, under the Effort Sharing Legislation. A key part of this project is delivering workshops with the aim to share practical experiences between the Member States in the implementation of national policies to reduce GHG emissions in sectors that fall under the scope of the legislation.

The first workshop will be held on the 15 October 2019 at the European Commission's office in Bucharest and registration is open until 8 October 2019. The workshop is free to attend. Places will be limited, so early registration is advisable. Priority for places will be given to policymakers from EU Member States, but attendance is also welcomed from non-governmental organisations and the private sector.
