The Final European Conference of the BICY project, co-funded by the CEE, will be taking place at the City hall in Prague.

The BICY - Cities and Regions of Bicycles Project aimed to increase the use of the bicycle as a daily means of transport in Central European cities by using the experiences of bicycle model towns like Ferrara and Graz and developing a transnational bicycle strategy and implementing innovative bicycle services that will ultimately lead to a strengthened bicycle traffic in the Central European Area.

The conference will not only give an overview of the projects achievements and lessons learnt, but will also demonstrate that change towards a bigger share of bicycle traffic is indeed possible .Furthermore, the conference will give an outlook and present future perspectives regarding cycling for Europe 2020.

The existing cycling culture in Europe will be examined and strategies suggested on how to improve it. A particular focus will be on the New Member States.

The conference is free of charge!
