Climate, environment, economy, health: every field has been affected by various crises. While we are still suffering from the health crisis due to the Covid pandemic, the war in Ukraine reveals the underlying energy crisis, while the environmental crisis is getting increasingly critical.
Mobility, an essential component of our societies, is also affected by these crises, and transport actors have to mitigate their effects by adapting and transforming mobility systems.
These issues will be at the heart of the 5th edition of the European Mobility Days in Strasbourg, organized by Cerema and CNFPT, in partnership with the Eurometropole of Strasbourg, GART and UTP. The aim of this event is to think and exchange ideas based on European and international examples, in order to compare and understand the challenges and levers for action, and thus act effectively to promote a sustainable mobility policy.
The European Mobility Days will be structured in 3 steps:
1 - A webinar on July 4, 2022 from 2 to 4 pm. It will focus on energy and mobility.

Ce premier webinaire sera consacré à l’énergie et aux mobilités.
La transition énergétique des flottes de véhicules, aussi bien publiques que privées, est un enjeu majeur et a déjà été amorcée. Toutefois, les tensions actuelles sur l’approvisionnement énergétique amènent de nouvelles contraintes et incertitudes. Entre ces tensions à court terme et enjeux à long terme, quels choix énergétiques faire, quelles conséquences sur la mobilité, ses coûts et les inévitables tensions sociales générées ?
Pour apporter des réponses à ces questions, 4 interventions seront assurées par :
- Francis Perrin, directeur de recherche à l’IRIS, spécialiste des problématiques énergétiques
- Patricia Cazes-Potgieter, Head of Planning, Property Development, Commercial Development, Transport for London
- Frédéric Baverez, Directeur Exécutif France Keolis et Président d'EFFIA, administrateur de l'UTP
- Vincent Kaufmann, Professeur de sociologie urbaine à l'EPFL et directeur scientifique du Forum Vies Mobiles

3 - An event in Strasbourg on November 24 afternoon and November 25 will conclude this series by addressing the issue of climate and decarbonization of mobility.
