The European Conference on Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans is the principal annual event enabling an international community of practitioners, policy makers, city staff and academics from across Europe to come together to debate key issues, highlight developments in mobility planning and exchange ideas and experience.
The overall quality of life is of special importance to most cities. This is not only defined by an intact environment, ideal living conditions and attractive economic events but also by a supportive environment for individual mobility behaviour. Intelligent planning for sustainable mobility puts people first!
The continuous development of cities and associated population growth, congestion and pollution has pushed sustainable urban mobility up the agenda. The need for more sustainable, intelligent and integrative planning processes as a way of dealing with these challenges and identifying an appropriate set of policies has been widely recognised.
With the theme Intelligent Planning for Sustainable Mobility, the City of Dubrovnik is delighted to host this years‘ European Conference on Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans on 29-30 March 2017.
Hidden in the southernmost part of the Croatian territory, Dubrovnik is a priceless pearl gracing the south shores of the Adriatic Sea. With its breathtaking natural beauties, rich historical heritage, and diverse tourist offer, Dubrovnik is among the most beloved and regularly visited destinations of the region.
