Following a record-breaking conference in Brussels last year and in view of the COVID-19 situation, the 2020 Polis Annual Conference – which was to take place in the Arnhem Nijmegen City Region – will now be held virtually from 30 November to 3 December. Even though we will not be meeting in Arnhem-Nijmegen, this innovative city-region remains our virtual co-host for the conference!
The Polis Annual Conference provides an opportunity for cities and regions to showcase their transport achievement to a large audience of mobility experts, practitioners and decision-makers.
Call for speakers:
The parallel sessions at the Polis Conference 2020 will feature in-depth presentations showing innovation in policy and practice across a range of issues in urban mobility.
Priority will be given to topics that are high on the agenda of cities and regions and feature in today’s international, European and local debates around urban transport innovation. Each session will aim for a mix of current practice and future plans from cities and regions, urban transport research, and industry initiatives.
Polis is seeking contributions in the following areas:
- Environment & Health in Transport
- Traffic Efficiency
- Safety & Security
- Governance & Integration
Priority topics within each of these areas are listed in the call for speakers although the window for new applications is closed.
