Ideally, educated to degree level or equivalent, you will have experience of working with children and young people, of partnership working within a community-based or environmental project and have the ability to build strong working relationships. Your enthusiasm will be motivational to others and your excellent written and verbal communication will complement your strong organisational skills. IT literacy is essential as is an understanding of school settings and the health benefits of active travel. You will also be committed to active travel and the promotion of sustainable transport. DBS Enhanced Disclosure clearance is mandatory for this role.
Schools Officer, Leeds
The exciting challenges of this role include the promotion of sustainable and active travel principally to 9-13 year olds at selected schools in east and North West Leeds as part of a package of measures to increase the number of pupils, parents and school staff who cycle, walk and make use of public transport for local journeys.
