We are currently looking for an Officer for UITP Turkey Office and Taxi Platform Your role will be to assist the Head of Department in charge of UITP Turkey activities and Taxi Platform activites with all logistical, organisational and marketing tasks, to conduct basic research such as collection of statistics etc.

Primary responsibilities will include:

Assist in the process of collecting statistics and projects in Turkey on public transport and taxi
Initiate and draft, in collaboration with other thematic experts around the world, working briefs and papers, electronic newsletters etc.
Develop the core communication tools (publications, social media, etc) for members and potential members of the organization and for professionals of the sector
Support general marketing, communication and business development activities of UITP in Turkey and the taxi sector worldwide: active role in the definition of UITP services towards its members and potential members; membership development, database building, e-mailing, social media, telemarketing, press etc.
Assist and coordinate meetings and events (conferences/trainings/workshops etc.) targeting UITP members and the general public, increasing awareness and actions for important mobility issues
Provide logistical support in organizing different events (promotion, invitations, programmes, contact with suppliers, local hosts, participants, registrations, invoices, etc) for UITP Turkey and the UITP Taxi Platform  worldwide


Ideal candidate will have the following profile:

University Degree, Masters Degree is an asset
1-4 years relevant working experience
Excellent knowledge of English and Turkish (oral and written). Any other languages, mainly Arabic and French are an asset.
Professional hands on, service oriented personality
Ease of contact, excellent communication skills
Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
Rigorous and with eye for details
Problem-solving attitude, sense of initiative and the ability to work autonomously in a small but very globalised organization requiring a flexible and open mind
Adequate understanding of the functioning of an association is an asset
Real interest in the public transport sector
Good computer skills (MS office/ Online) including social media
Occasional travel will be required
Job based in Istanbul, Turkey- open to applicants already residing in Turkey
