Job profile: 
This exciting role will be responsible for planning and delivering an on-going community-led design process and associated engagement work which will focus on local traffic and transport concerns, acting as the key contact for residents in the area, working with Dumfries and Galloway Council. The aim of this project is to initiate activities to encourage an increase in active travel amongst residents and the wider community.

Educated to degree level or equivalent and experience of effective community engagement, you will have a track record in successfully delivering practical projects with community involvement as a core element.  You will have the ability to build productive working relationships and implement effective and innovative methods for guiding communities through design workshops.  Your strong written and verbal communications skills will complement your motivational skills.  An understanding of local travel issues and IT literacy is essential as is your commitment to the promotion of sustainable transport.

Salary:  £21,321 - £23,864 per annum (dependent on relevant skills and experience)
