An exciting opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated, effective communicator to take organisation UK-wide responsibility for the on-going development and implementation of the HR strategy which reflects Sustrans priorities for the successful delivery of business plans and supports a flexible, cohesive and sustainable workforce. This role also includes the provision of expert guidance, advice and support to senior management and a contribution to the overall successful performance of the charity.

Educated to degree level or equivalent and a Chartered Member of the CIPD, you will have substantial previous strategic experience in a similar role and a track record of developing successful change initiatives, solving employee relations issues, providing HR advice and guidance to senior management and strong leadership skills.  You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to remain calm and diplomatic at all times, the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships and a highly developed knowledge of employment law and practice.  You will have line management experience and the proven ability to deliver on key HR issues. A commitment to the promotion of sustainable transport is also essential.
