
A Local Action Plan aimed at analysing issues relating to electrification and the integration of renewable resources in local public transport infrastructures in Bergamo, Italy, has been launched.
The aim is to facilitate future investments in innovative and energy efficient infrastructures. This is the main result achieved by the city administration, thanks to the participation in the European project "EfficienCE", launched in April 2019 and closed in mid-2022.
The project involved 12 European partners, among them being public authorities and local public transport operators. The project, whose goal was to reduce the Carbon Footprint in central Europe, required continued collaboration of the partners, in order to develop and promote tools and classes finalised to a correct control and management of low-carbon infrastructures. Moreover, it encouraged the dissemination of knowledge and best practices regarding energy efficiency measures.
