Relevance to SUMP – A variety of data is required to inform SUMP preparation, implementation and evaluation. Examples include: market research in the transport sector; frequencies of public transport services and level of customer satisfaction; highway capacity and traffic volumes and highway safety information. During the implementation stage, SUMP monitoring
will require ongoing data collection and analysis.
