BUMP provides city planners, environmental and technical officers in local authorities with the knowledge and skills to plan and manage sustainable mobility in urban and peri-urban areas. The objectives of BUMP are to:

• promote SUMPs
• build capacity inside local authorities to develop and keep updated SUMPs
• promote mutual learning and sharing of expertise among officers and directors working for the local authorities involved in the project
• spurring 50 local authorities to join the CIVITAS network
