Some new ideas on promoting cycling

By News Editor / Updated: 01 Aug 2014
The latest tool on Eltis will give practitioners fresh ideas on how to promote cycling based on the results and experience of the Nordic Cycle Cities project.
During the past three years, 11 small and medium-sized municipalities in Denmark, Norway and Sweden have developed methods and tools that can help them meet the challenges of getting more citizens to jump on their bikes. One of the aims of the IVA funded project was to secure a more systematic and holistic approach to working with cycling, and through this process, to secure political ownership and an organisational framework.

The results of the various initiatives that took part in the project can now be downloaded from the tools section of Eltis and will be invaluable to any practitioner looking for innovative ways to promote cycling in their region.
