The U-MOB LIFE | European University Network for Sustainable Mobilityinfo-icon project has just started, with a budget of € 1.3 million and funded by LIFE initiative.

NOVOTEC’s expertise in developing mobility plans, the trajectory of the Universities of Rotterdam, Krakow and Bergamo and Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona implementing mobility best practices, and the capabilities of Fundación Equipo Humano on training and communication fields, have enabled the choice of U-MOB project by the European Commission in the LIFE 2015 call.

For 5 years, U-MOB partners will work together to create a network to facilitate the exchange and transfer of knowledge on mobility best practices among European universities.

The U-MOB project is aimed at the university mobility managers, but the goal is to reach university communities across Europe, driving a change of mind from unsustainable transport modes (car) to non-motorised modes (bicycle or displacement on foot) and public transport.

The U-MOB consortium will also engage key stakeholders related to mobility in Europe: public authorities, transport companies, social organisations, etc.

The partners are currently launching their first activities:
