Lower Silesia in south west Poland has completed a draft of its Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP) and has made it available for comments from the general public.
The SUMP includes a forecast of the Lower Silesian voivodeship's transport needs and the transport modes and policies which can best address these needs. It also provides plans for financing public transport and includes guidance on improving provision of passenger information and services for users with disabilities.
The socio-economic situation of the voivodeship and the environmental impact of transport has also been taken into account in the SUMP. It has also been developed with Poland's national transport plan and regional strategy papers.
Comments on the SUMP can be submitted either by email or by post until 8 September 2014. The Marshal's Office of Lower Silesia is hoping that there will be an active engagement with the consultation process by the public.
