The European Commission's Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport (DG MOVE) has launched two new tenders related to mobility planning.
The first tender, “Study on a European urban transport roadmap 2030”, has the general objective of providing policy support tools to assist city authorities throughout Europe to identify and implement the most cost effective policies and to improve understanding of the policy measures necessary to achieve European urban transport policy objectives. It is divided into two main tasks.

The first task consists of developing and testing the policy support tools, promoting the tools in each EU member state, and providing a free support facility to EU users. The second task would be to prepare five different policy scenarios for urban transport in the EU to 2030, identifying the necessary policies at the EU, national and local levels to achieve EU policy objectives.

The second tender, “Technical support for the promotion of sustainable urban mobility in third countries”, has the general objective of sharing EU experience and expertise on urban mobility, particularly where this relates to energy efficiency and climate change. The tasks include providing expert speakers on urban mobility, developing resource packs for EU delegations and countries and cities outside the EU in several languages, and organising and coordinating study tours and meetings on urban mobility.
