Policy and research

RSS - Policy and research abonnieren

The process of developing policy generally involves research, analysis, consultation and synthesis of information to produce recommendations. Guidelines can help cities develop and assess their transport policies to address existing and new policy objectives. Research organisations and institutions provide valuable data and analysis to underpin policy recommendations and decisions.

I have created a survey intended for individuals and organizations, who are concerned with Sustainable Mobility and Urban Development. The survey seeks to gain key insights into which factors best support change (modal shift) in cities, by better understanding the priorities, strategies and experiences of all who are concerned with this topic.

How many European cities have SUMPs?

Forums:

in the context of the starting European H2020 project MOBLITY4EU, I would like to know how many cities in Europe have developed SUMPs. Our first step in the project is identifying "societal trends" that have an impact on mobility/transport. Is there a dynamic in the domain of SUMPs, do many more cities develop such strategies that European institution want to see more and more developed?
Ideally I would like to get a live statistics, like those run by Eurostat or Urban Audit. I know I am a dreamer.

ELENA

The ELENA programme covers up to 90 per cent of the technical cost to prepare large energy efficiency and renewables projects. This can help with obtaining financing, especially from private investors. The Commission is giving ELENA €15 million for the transport sector over 2016-2020.

Cities should contact ELENA directly.
