A panel of several German and European speakers will try to answer these questions:

  • How can innovative mobile IT-solutions contribute to urban mobility?
  • How can electric vehicles and the existing charging infrastructure be intelligently linked?
  • How can ICT solutions help to make the use of electric vehicles more convenient and efficient?

An intermodal route planner focusing on mobility with electric vehicles was developed for Berlin in the past months. The multimodal MOLECULES App is a new service for users of electric car sharing. It combines the offers of the car sharing provider DriveNow with information about the location and availability of charging stations in Berlin. In addition, real-time information of the public transport and motorized individual traffic complete the functions. In addition to presenting the Berlin pilot and MOLECULES App, the debate will focus also on traffic information and electromobility, including some results of the research project.

The event will take place betwenn 14:15 and 18:00 at: Senate Department for Urban Development and the Environment, Room 101, Württembergische Straße 6, 10707 Berlin

Attendance of the colloquium is free of charge. Please send your informal registration until 05.10.2014 via email to: jan-niklas.willing@senstadtum.berlin.de
