Optimising Aarhus's transport system with Bluetooth (Denmark)


Aarhus is the second-largest city in Denmark. Its urban zone has a population of 1.2 million inhabitants. In 2011 the city implemented a highly innovative and cost-effective solution using Bluetooth technology to monitor travel times and traffic flow throughout the metropolitan area.

Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans in public transport corridors

Executive session at Trafikdage: French cities have since the early 2000 developed 'contrats d’axe' in public transport corridors. The contracts sets the frame for urban planning, mobility and climate. In Sweden Trafikværket have focused on mobility and urban planning for 'Västlänken', a new rail connection to Göteborg.
