Please note that the Eltis Team will continue to provide urban mobility good practice and news as normal during the COVID-19 Pandemic. Eltis, the Urban Mobility Observatory, will continue to be updated on a regular basis. We wish all readers well during these unprecedented times.
This issue features information about the European Commission’s first large-scale urban mobility conference – Urban Mobility Days 2020 (UMD 2020). The Conference is due to be held in Brussels between 29 September and 1 October and will place clean and sustainable transport in the limelight like no event before. Please keep an eye on the UMD 2020 events page for updates.
You can find details about the finalists for the 8th Sustainable Urban Mobility Planning Award (SUMP Award) – the winners will be announced in due course.
In addition, you can access a new tool and an informative poster that have been released by the SUMPs-Up project, which is funded by the European Commission. Furthermore, the Vital Nodes project, part of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T) programme, has published policy recommendations grouped into distinct categories in the Vital Nodes Toolbox. The TEN-T programme was established to support the construction and upgrade of transport infrastructure across the European Union.
