Eltis newsletter - August 2021

By jessdonnelly / Updated: 18 Aug 2021

Welcome to the August edition of the Eltis newsletter.

This month, we highlight the European Commission's new 'Fit for 55' climate package for reducing greenhouse gas emissions by at least 55% by 2030. We also include details of the new call for applications for the 10th Sustainable Urban Mobility Planning (SUMP) Award and the new SUMP Topic Guide for Smaller Cities and Towns. Don't forget to also join the webinar on climate change mitigation through SUMPs on 15 September.

We feature the New European Bauhaus Initiative (NEB) with the Call for Proposals in citizen engagement and the Call for Partnerships. We also remind you that the Italian and Greek translations of the SUMP Guidelines are now available.

Finally, we share case study examples looking at one of the finalists of the 9th SUMP Award (Bilbao) as well as a SmartBus in the City of Aalborg, Denmark.

Please note that the home page of the Eltis website is frequently updated with details of useful online networking events and webinars. Many of these events are arranged at short notice, so it’s worth checking in on a regular basis.

Kind regards,

The Eltis team
