Mr. Warren Phelan (RPS Group), our current expert for the Waste Production and Management indicator said, “I have really enjoyed being a part of the European Green Capital Award Expert Panel for the last year. It has been interesting to see the innovative and sustainable solutions that applicant cities have been implementing both in my own indicator and indeed across all twelve environmental indicators. Having the opportunity to travel to some of the winning cities and to see these environmental initiatives being put into action has been a terrific learning experience for me.”
An individual stipend of €5,000 is foreseen (in addition to travel expenses as per standard EC experts’ reimbursement rules).
Interested parties can apply to be considered for one or more indicator areas and should send (in English) their CV, complete with cover note specifying which indicator(s) they wish to be considered for, and why they would like to be part of the Expert Panel (max 500 words) to the Secretariat email address (see below) by the 8th May 2015 13.00 CET
