Next steps for intelligent mobility and developing a smart transport system
This seminar, run by the Westminster Energy, Environment & Transport Forum, will consider the next steps for intelligent mobility and developing a smart transport system in the UK.
It takes place in the context of the Government’s Future of Mobility Grand Challenge and will be an opportunity to assess the outcomes of the recent consultation into future mobility, which considered current trends in urban mobility and how government can best support innovation.
The conference will also examine key measures from the Government’s urban mobility strategy, which is expected to be published later this year, as well as the steps needed to elicit the Government’s ambition for the UK to be a world leader in future mobility. Further sessions examine priorities for supporting the electrification of road vehicles, investment for autonomous vehicles, development of rail infrastructure to improve connectivity and the provision of Mobility as a Service.
