Promoción de la lectura en el Metro de la Ciudad de México
Fundamento y Objetivos
Esta medida se entiende como un proyecto piloto, por lo que se puso primeramente a prueba en una sola lÃnea. La lÃnea 3 del metro de la Ciudad de México que recorre la Ciudad de norte a sur. Este proyecto además de promover la lectura, hace a los usuarios más sensibles al respeto mutuo y a la seguridad. El uso del metro deja de ser exclusivamente molesto y pasa a tener aspectos recreativos y sociales, haciendo asà más humana a esta Ciudad de más de 20 millones de habitantes.Implementación
Se escojieron textos cortos, de autores muy conocidos, 250.000 ejemplares fuero puestos de forma gratuita a disposición del usuario. Éstos son ofrecidos, por 400 jovenes, vestidos con una llamativa camiseta naranja, color de las unidades del metro. Los jovenes promueven la lectura y motivan a la gente a tomar un ejemplar prestado hasta el punto final de su viaje. De esta forma el viaje sera más ameno y enriquecedor.El usuario del metro pertenece a las clases media y media baja, por lo que la promoción de la lectura es un importante transmisor de cultura y conciencia de seguridad.
El sistema de transporte colectivo Metro de la Ciudad de México es un sistema público, por lo que el principal impulsador de la campaña es el gobierno de la Ciudad de México, junto con los responsables del sistema operador del Metro. El usuario es también muy importante, pues sà éste demanda la lectura y la intención de leer más los responsables tendrán que reaccionar y ofrecer más lecturas.
Resultados iniciales
Esta medida ha tenido una buena acojida, la demanda de la lectura de las antologÃas repartidas, ha sido alta. Se pusieron 250.000 ejemplares a la disposición del usuario. Éstos fueron ofrecidos por 400 jovenes voluntarios y con pequeñas becas.Se ofreció primeramente en una sola lÃnea de las nueve, de las que consta el Metro en la Ciudad de México. El ciudadano toma responsabilidad tomando un libro prestado y devolviendolo al final de su recorrido. La participación ciudadna fortalece la cultura civica, que nos hace ser más solidarios y sensibles al reto de la movilidad en una ciudad de más de 20 Millones de habitantes. Los costos fueron de 5 millones de pesos aprox. 500.000 dólares, que fueron adqiridos por donaciones. El cambio de la cultura de la movilidad es difÃcil de expresar en unidades económicas, mas creo que es una ganancia neta. Un reflejo de esta ganancia, es que 79% de los libros fueron devueltos.
