The EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK Award is presented to the local authority judged to have done the most to raise awareness of sustainable mobility during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK (16-22 September). To apply, local authorities must have implemented the three criteria and signed the Charter.
For the first time, the Award will be presented in two categories: one for municipalities with a population of over 50,000 and one for municipalities with a population under 50,000.
Winners of the award, chosen by an independent panel of transport experts, receive a three-minute video in both English and their native language highlighting their achievements. In addition, the winning city and finalists are promoted via the campaign's channels.
Towns and cities wishing to apply for one of the two categories are invited to:
- Complete the application form in English (maximum 20 pages).
- Include a map of the area that was closed for motorised traffic during Car-Free Day.
- Send a copy of the Charter signed by a local authority representative.
- Submit a selection of supporting materials by normal post or (preferably) in digital format via WeTransfer or similar online sharing services.
All documents should be sent before 23 October 2017 to Juan Cabaellero at Eurocities - email@example.com.
