  EU transport ministers adopt conclusions on the Action Plan on Urban Mobility
The EU Council adopts the conclusions on the Action Plan on Urban Mobility while stressing the challenge and the opportunity that this initiative presents; and invites the Commission to ensure that the new Transport White Paper contains targets and policies for promoting more efficient, sustainable, safe and healthy urban mobility.

  London’s ambitious bike sharing scheme (UK)
The city of London has officially launched its ambitious public bike sharing scheme with 6000 new bicycles. The initiative will allow commuters and tourists to take bikes from 400 docking stations, spaced at 300 yard intervals, for short journeys around central London.

ELTIS

is an initiative of the European Commission's Directorate General for Energy and Transport. The project is led by an international team of transport related organisations.

The aim of ELTIS is to provide information and support a practical transfer of knowledge and exchange of experience in the field of urban and regional transport in Europe.
